About Watergrill
Dedes Family and The Sydney Rowing Club
Stavros and Helen Dedes first took on the catering at the Sydney Rowing Club in 1973. Stavros was employed by the prior caterer when one day the caterer walked out, the then Secretary Manager of the Club asked Stavros if he could cook – to which he replied “of course I can cook”. He called his wife Helen and they officially started business.
